1401 California is a proposed mixed-use project combining quality housing over a neighborhood-serving grocery store at the corner of California and Hyde Streets in San Francisco.
The project at 1401 California will replace the existing grocery store with new building featuring a grocery and additional retailer covering up to 30,000 square feet on the ground floor and approximately 107 residential condominiums above the store. The Prado Group is currently in the schematic design phase of the project and estimating planning approvals for the project in mid 2010. If successful, Prado Group plans to start construction in early 2011 after Cala Foods vacates at the end of their lease on December 31, 2010. Completion is projected for summer 2012.
